It was during the day, well-monitored lot, sunny day, lots of people, I wasn't there, and I had no idea my wife had put all those portable things into her bag, then left it in the car after reading the signs. None of the items were needed and had been locked in the hotel room safe up until that morning. Thanks for all the other comments.
